(a) Reservation of dates at the Canton Memorial Civic Center (referred to as “Civic Center” throughout this chapter) shall require the execution of a written contract. The Civic Center Manager shall prepare the contract on behalf of the City and shall include therein all the terms, provisions and conditions required by the City for the lease of the Civic Center. The City Law Director shall approve the terms, provisions and conditions incorporated in the Civic Center contract by the Civic Center Manager.
(b) Reservation of the dates at the Civic Center will not be accepted without payment of a non-refundable deposit equal to one day’s base rent. Said deposit shall be paid within thirty days of receipt of the contract by licensee. Failure to pay the required deposit within thirty days of receipt of the contract shall render the contract void.
(c) Licensee’s failure to perform as contracted will result in loss of the deposit as liquidated damages.
