The City shall remove a roadside memorial prior to the expiration of the 90-day period for failure to comply with applicable laws. If the City determines that a memorial is out of compliance, the City will make reasonable efforts to contact the family to request that the noncompliant aspects of the memorial be corrected. Failure to correct the non-compliant aspects will result in the following:
(a) After 10 business days of non-compliance, the City will remove any remaining items from the memorial site.
(b) Items not retrieved during the 90-day holding period will become the property of the City and processed accordingly or discarded.
(c) The City will remove a roadside memorial immediately in response to a serious threat to public safety.
