909.10 CROSSWALKS DURING REPAIRS.
   Every person making excavation in any public street for the purpose of improving or repairing the roadway of such street shall, during the progress of the work, provide crosswalks on that portion of the street being improved or repaired for the purpose of accommodating pedestrians who may desire to cross such street. Such crosswalks shall be constructed of planks at least five feet in length, and within the fire limits of the City such crosswalks shall be at least five feet in width, and outside the fire limits at least three feet in width.
