(a) Application for horse-drawn carriage licenses hereunder shall be made upon such forms prescribed by the City License Bureau, with the accompanying license fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per vehicle annually. All horse-drawn carriage licenses shall expire at midnight on March 31 of each year.
(b) Licenses shall be issued upon inspection by the Police Department in conjunction with the City License Bureau and satisfaction of compliance with the standards contained in this chapter, to include proof of insurance and evidence of a certificate of a veterinarian certifying the horse or horses to be utilized in the business to be free of disease and healthy for the intended purpose of pulling a carriage.
(c) The City License Bureau shall issue a license and permanent license number which shall be displayed on each horse-drawn carriage operated by each licensee.
(d) Application for renewal may be made thirty (30) days prior to the date of expiration of the license. Renewal shall be approved upon inspection and satisfaction of compliance with all requirements of this chapter, and upon payment of the annual licensing fee.
