(a) This chapter, in appropriate sections, requires employers to provide information to their employees about hazardous and/or toxic chemicals to which these employees are exposed by means of a hazard communication program, labels, placards, work area hazardous chemical lists, material safety data sheets and information training.
(b) This chapter, in appropriate sections, requires employers to provide information to the City Fire Department concerning hazardous and/or toxic chemicals which are manufactured, used or stored inside the work place and which may be discharged from the work place or stored as chemical waste at the work place, by means of the submission of hazardous and toxic chemical work area lists, hazardous chemical discharge permits, reports of emergency incidents, and material safety data sheets, if requested.
