739.03 RECORDS; INSPECTION.
   Every precious metals dealer shall keep and use books and forms approved by the Superintendent of the Division of Financial Institutions in the Ohio Department of Commerce, which shall disclose a full and accurate description of each article purchased, including the name of the maker and identifying letters or marks, and which shall also include the name, age, place of residence, driver’s or commercial driver’s license number or other personal identification, and a short physical description of the person offering to sell jewelry or precious metals to the dealer. The dealer shall keep the books in numerical order at all times at the business location, open to the inspection of any police officer. Upon demand of a police officer, the precious metals dealer shall produce and show an article thus listed and described which is in the dealer’s possession.
