16.08.160 Safety and Functionality Standards
No building, structure, or land shall hereafter be used or occupied, and no building, structure or part thereof shall hereafter be erected, constructed, reconstructed, moved or structurally altered contrary to the provisions of this title. No lot area, yard, or required off-street parking or loading area existing on or after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this title shall be reduced in area, dimension, or size below the minimums required by this title, nor shall any lot area, yard, or required off-street parking or loading area that is required by this title for one use be used to satisfy the lot area, yard, off-street parking or loading area requirement for any other use, except as may be provided in this title. A. The location and boundaries of the zones designated in this division are established as shown on the map entitled “Zoning Map of the City of Canby” dated with the effective date of the ordinance codified in this title and signed by the Mayor and the city recorder and hereafter referred to as the zoning map.
B. The signed copy of the zoning map shall be maintained on file in the office of the city recorder and is made a part of this title. (Ord. 740 section 10.3.05(B), 1984)
Unless otherwise specified, zone boundaries are lot lines or the centerline of streets, railroad rights-of-way, or such lines extended. Where a zone boundary divides a lot into two or more zones, the entire lot shall be considered to be in the zone containing the greater lot area, provided the boundary adjustment is a distance of less than twenty feet.
