10-2-1: ANIMAL CONTROL SUPERVISOR AND OFFICERS:
   (A)   Appointment: The mayor shall appoint, subject to confirmation by the city council, a qualified person as animal control supervisor for the purpose of enforcing the provisions of birds, animals and fowl within the city. He and his assistants shall be known as animal control officers, and they shall possess all of the authority of police officers of the city, for the purpose of enforcing said provisions.
   (B)   Duties: The animal control supervisor shall be in charge of supervising the animal control officers and shall be in charge of the animal shelter for the impounding of dogs and other animals. (Ord. 852, 10-1973; amd. 1981 Code)
