It shall be lawful for any person to sell wine at retail within the corporate limits of the City in Minidoka County after having first procured a license therefor.
The license fee to sell "wine" as herein defined shall be established by a resolution adopted by the Burley City Council. No license shall be issued for any shorter period than the balance of the calendar year and all licenses shall expire on July 31 following issuance. No license shall be issued until the fee therefor shall have been paid. Where application for license is made during the first quarter of the year the full annual license shall be paid; when made during the second quarter, three-fourths (3/4) thereof shall be paid; when made during the third quarter, one-half (1/2) thereof shall be paid; and when made during the fourth quarter, one-fourth (1/4) thereof shall be paid. All licenses issued under authority of this chapter shall name the person to whom issued and the premises where sale shall be made. (Ord. 1164, 12-3-2002)
