5-1-1: IDAHO MOTOR VEHICLE LAWS ADOPTED:
   A.   Intent: It is hereby declared to be the intent of the governing body to aid and assist by whatever means possible, for the utmost consistency in traffic regulations among and between agencies of Idaho having such jurisdiction. Toward that end, adoption of the Idaho motor vehicle laws by the cities of Idaho is a necessary means of assuring maximum uniformity within the state. (1974 Code § 7-102)
   B.   Adoption: There is hereby adopted for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the use of all streets and public thoroughfares of the city, that certain code, identified as the Idaho motor vehicle laws, more particularly Idaho Code title 49, published by the department of law enforcement, and as the same may hereafter be revised by the Idaho legislature, or amended by the governing body, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference as an ordinance of the city as fully as though set forth at length herein.
   C.   Copies On File: One copy of the Idaho motor vehicle laws, together with any revisions or amendments, duly certified by the city clerk-treasurer, shall be kept on file in his office for use and examination of and by the public. (1974 Code § 7-102; amd. 2010 Code)
   D.   Authority To Establish Areas Of Traffic Control: The city is hereby given authority to establish areas of traffic control where motor vehicles will not be allowed to enter onto or exit from private or public parking lots or business locations onto or from the public streets within the city.
   E.   Traffic Control Signs: The city does hereby establish such traffic control signs as it deems necessary to control traffic movement, including, but not limited to, the use of "Do Not Enter" signs facing traffic about to enter upon or exit a public street from or to adjacent public or private property.
   F.   Entry To Highway 30 Prohibited: Upon passage hereof, it shall be illegal to enter Highway 30 from that area of lot 4, section 31, township 9 south, range 15 east of the Boise Meridian, commonly referred to as the Scrub and Grub corner, directly onto U.S. Highway 30 in violation of the two (2) "Do Not Enter" signs, facing the traffic about to enter U.S. Highway 30 from said property.
   G.   Violation; Penalty: Any person violating this section by making said movement shall be guilty of a traffic infraction as prescribed by Idaho Code title 49, chapter 15. (1974 Code § 7-102)
