262.01 COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR.

   There is hereby established the new position of Community and Economic Development Director who shall be appointed by and report directly to the City Manager.

262.02 DUTIES.

   The Community and Economic Development Director shall have such duties as prescribed by ordinance or as assigned by the City Manager.

262.03 DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL.

   The City Manager is authorized to employ such personnel as necessary for operation of the Community and Economic Development Department or as otherwise prescribed by ordinance.

262.04 PAY RANGE.

   The pay range of the Community and Economic Development Director is hereby established to be: $55,573.00 - $96,756.00.

262.05 CONTRACTS WITH SURROUNDING TOWNSHIPS.

   (a)   The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with surrounding Townships at the time they request the professional services of the Community and Economic Development Director.

   (b)   The contract to be entered into between the City and the Townships is attached to original Resolution 23-82, passed March 8, 1982, as Exhibit A and is hereby made a part hereof.

262.06 WETLANDS POLICY.

   Prior to approval of construction plans for any development within the City, the Developer shall submit to the City, a letter from the Army Corps of Engineers stating that their project does not include wetlands or, if wetlands are involved, the Developer’s plans are approved as submitted.
