A. Adoption Of Code: A certain document, one copy of which is on file in the office of the Village Clerk of the Village of Broadview, being marked and designated as the International Mechanical Code, 2018 edition, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the International Mechanical Code of the Village of Broadview, in the State of Illinois for regulating and governing the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of plumbing systems as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said mechanical code on file in the office of the Village are hereby referred to, adopted, and made part hereof, as if fully set forth in this subsection, with the additions, insertions, and deletions and changes, if any, prescribed herein.
B. Exceptions: There shall be the following exceptions and modifications to the 2018 International Mechanical Code:
Section 101.1. Village of Broadview shall be inserted wherever it refers to name of jurisdiction.
Section 106.5.2 The fee schedule shall be as follows:
Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) | Fee |
Installation of air conditioning per dwelling unit or tenant space | $50.00 |
Alterations, repairs, replacements and improvements | $85.00 |
Installation(s) of new or replacement of a system, unit or device, which includes, but is not limited to furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, radon systems, air distribution systems, geothermal systems, air conditioning systems, fireplaces, refrigeration systems, hood/duct systems and other permanent appliance devices | $150.00 per system/unit |
Installation of new refrigeration for food cooling (including piping) | $300.00 |
Plan review and inspection fees (all trades) | Cost of consultant plus a 15% administration fee |
Sec. 106.5.1 Penalties shall be as set forth in section 1-4-1 of the Village Code providing for general penalties.
