Whenever in this Code or in any ordinance of the Village or any rule or regulation promulgated pursuant thereto, any act is prohibited or is made or declared to be unlawful, where no specific penalty is provided therefor, the violation of any such provision of this Code or any ordinance shall be punished by a fine not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00). A violation of any provision of this Code, or any ordinance, shall constitute a separate offense for each day such violation continues 1 .
In addition to, or as an alternative to the fines and penalties enumerated above, the court, in its discretion, may impose court supervision upon the defendant for a period not to exceed six (6) months upon such terms and conditions as said court shall deem proper. The supervision and conditions therefor shall be as provided by State law 2 . (1987 Code; amd. Ord. 2019-15, 6-17-2019)
