§ 12.16.010 BLOCK DEFINED.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   BLOCK. All that space between two (2) cross streets or alleys.

§ 12.16.020 GENERALLY.
   The numbering of the buildings and premises of the city shall commence with the number one hundred (100), north and south from Ash Street and east and west from Brea Boulevard.

§ 12.16.030 NUMBERING OF ENTRANCES TO BUILDINGS GENERALLY.
   All numbers shall be not less than three (3) inches in height and of such material and color and so placed that they may be read and distinguished from the sidewalk in front of the building on which used.

§ 12.16.040 ALLOTMENT OF NUMBERS TO EACH BLOCK.
   Each block shall be entitled to one hundred (100) numbers. One (1) number may be allowed for each twenty-five (25) feet frontage on any street or highway, and whenever in the space allowed to the number there shall be a hallway or tenement fronting on the street, such hallway or tenement shall be given an additional half (½) number.

§ 12.16.050 ODD AND EVEN NUMBERS.
   The building numbers on the northerly and westerly sides of streets shall be consecutive odd numbers, and the numbers on the southerly and easterly sides shall be consecutive even numbers.
