701.01 LICENSE REQUIRED.

No person shall sell or offer for sale any goods, wares, merchandise, books, magazines, subscriptions, contest votes, lottery chances and the like, or request contributions or subscriptions or the like, without first having procured a license to do so as provided in this chapter.
