Before a license shall be issued, the applicant shall execute and deliver to the Village a good and sufficient bond with good and sufficient surety in such sum as the Mayor may require. Such bond shall be so conditioned as to protect and indemnify the Village and its inhabitants in a sum equal to at least the amount of any payment made to such applicant, or servants, agents or employees of such applicant, at the time of such operation or thereafter.
