§ 33.05 MANDATORY RETIREMENT AGE.
   (A)   The mandatory retirement of any member of the Police Department shall be upon such member reaching the member’s sixtieth birthday.
   (B)   The age stated in each member’s application shall be conclusive as to that member’s age.

§ 33.06 IMPOUNDMENT FEE FOR VEHICLES STORED IN CONNECTION WITH INVESTIGATIONS.
   (A)   The Village Council authorizes an impoundment fee for vehicles stored on village property and connected with an investigation by the Police Department.
   (B)   The impoundment fee is hereby set at $35 for each day the vehicle is stored.

AUXILIARY POLICE UNIT
§ 33.20 APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS.
   There is hereby created within the Police Department an auxiliary police unit, the members of which shall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the Village Council.

§ 33.21 ALLOCATION OF FUNDS.
   Annual funds as set forth by the Village Council from time to time are hereby allocated for the establishment and operation of the auxiliary police unit. This yearly budget should include payroll and training payroll.

§ 33.22 TERM OF SERVICE.
   Auxiliary police officers shall serve so long as the Mayor may direct or until a resignation submitted by any such member is accepted by the Mayor.

§ 33.23 QUALIFICATION OF MEMBERS.
   (A)   The members of the auxiliary police unit shall be a resident of the state, and may not be under the age of 21 years at the time of their appointment and such other requirements as provided by rules adopted under § 33.24.
   (B)   All members of the auxiliary police unit, prior to their appointment by the Mayor, shall have been awarded a certificate by the executive director of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Council, attesting to the appointee’s satisfactory completion of an approved state, county or municipal police basic training program in accordance with R.C. § 109.77.
   (C)   Every member, prior to his or her appointment by the Mayor, shall have passed a physical examination given by a licensed physician not more than 60 days prior to receiving his or her appointment, showing that he or she meets the physical requirements necessary to perform the duties of the position to which he or she is to be appointed.
