8-1-6: AUXILIARY FIREMEN:
   (A)   In case of emergency, the fire chief or the officer in command shall have the power to summon as many persons to his assistance to serve as auxiliary firemen as may be necessary to effectively carry out the duties of the village fire department. The power granted to the fire chief or officer in command, as set forth in this section, shall in no way be in limitation of the powers granted to the village president as set forth in subsection 8-1-4(E) of this chapter.
   (B)   Any person refusing to obey such summons shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject to a fine of not less than five dollars ($5.00) nor more than twenty dollars ($20.00) for each and every offense.
   (C)   The "auxiliary fireman" is hereby defined as a person pressed into emergency service pursuant to the provisions of subsection 8-1-4(E) of this chapter and subsection (A) of this section. He shall, under direction of the commanding officer present, carry out the functions of the fire department as required during the emergency period. He shall be held responsible and to a strict accountability for the good order of the post to which he is assigned for duty. (Ord. 534, eff. 1-1-1967)
