Any person convicted of a violation of any section of this code shall be fined in a sum not to exceed two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) for any one offense and the person may be confined in the village or county jail for a period of not more than six (6) months. (Ord. 623, 1-17-1974)

Any person in default of payment of any fine or costs imposed may be committed to the village or county jail until the fine, penalty and costs are fully paid. Any person imprisoned under the provisions of this chapter may be put to work for the benefit of the village for the term of his imprisonment. The committed person shall be allowed, exclusive of board, a credit of five dollars ($5.00) for each days work.
No female prisoner shall be required to work in public, nor shall any prisoner be required to work on Sunday. (1965 Code)
