1501.01 ADOPTION OF FIRE CODE.
   (a)    Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 731.231, there is hereby adopted by the City of Bedford, the most current version of the Ohio Fire Code (OFC) and its appendices as adopted by the Ohio Division of State Fire Marshal, Department of Commerce as published in of the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) and any future amendment thereto incorporated herein as fully rewritten.
   (b)    A complete copy of such Codes shall be kept on file at the office of the Clerk of Council, the office of the Fire Chief and the County Law Library. The Clerk of Council shall provide copies of applicable sections for distribution to the public at cost.

1501.02 PURPOSE.
   The purpose of the Fire Prevention Code as adopted herein is to prescribe minimum standards and regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion.
