Notwithstanding any provision of this Chapter, the City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a permit to any taxicab company, whose drivers have already been examined and licensed by another municipality in Ohio, to pick up and discharge passengers within the City. The City Manager shall first determine that the requirements of such licensing municipality are substantially in accordance with this Chapter. Any such permit issued by authority of this section may be canceled by the City Manager for any violation of the laws or ordinances of the State of Ohio or the City of Bedford or for other just cause.
Any taxicab company receiving a permit provided in this section shall file a rate schedule with the City Manager and keep on file with the City Manager a current rate schedule.
