1608.06 ORDERS FOR ABATEMENT, REMEDY, OR REMOVAL.
   (a)   When the Fire Chief or Fire Safety Inspector, upon examination or inspection, finds conditions upon the premises, building, or structure that constitutes a violation of any laws or ordinances of the City relating to fire prevention, or fire protection; or in his or her opinion constitutes a fire hazard or a condition detrimental to the fire safety of the City, he or she shall order the condition abated, remedied or removed. Such orders shall be in writing directed to the owner, lessee, or occupant of the premises, building or structure, or to the person in control of the articles, materials, goods, wares, or merchandise, or to the owner thereof, as the circumstances may require. The order shall state in clear and concise language the condition complained of, and shall set forth steps to be taken to eliminate the hazardous condition(s) and the time period within which said condition(s) shall be remedied. The time period for compliance shall be related to the nature of the hazardous condition(s).
