1442.04 TIME LIMIT FOR RESIDENTIAL PERMITS.
   Any permit issued for residential building, addition, alteration or remodeling shall be valid for a period of twelve months from the date of issue. If the project is not completed within the twelve months, the applicant may make application in writing to the Chief Building Inspector explaining the reason the work was not completed and requesting an extension of not more than six months to complete the project. If approved, the project must be completed within the allotted time. If denied, the project must be completed within forty-five days.
   No person shall cause any work to be performed without an unexpired permit as described herein.
