The person or property owner shall be provided written notice of desired action.
(a) Should any person or persons owning real property bordering on a tree lawn or public place fail to maintain trees as provided in this chapter, the Municipal Arborist shall order such person or persons, within thirty days after receipt of written notice, to comply with the requested maintenance.
(b) The order provided for herein shall be served by certified mail at the last known address of the property owner.
(c) When a person to whom an order is directed shall fail to respond or comply within the specified time, it shall be lawful for the City to perform requested maintenance and assess the property owner for the cost of services rendered.
