§ 7-1.01 COMPLIANCE WITH CHAPTER PROVISIONS.
   It shall be unlawful for any person to erect or maintain upon any street in the city any pole for the purpose of carrying or supporting wires for the transmission of electricity for lighting, power, telephone, or other purposes except as provided in this chapter.

§ 7-1.02 COMPLIANCE WITH CITY RECOMMENDATIONS; LOCATION.
   Poles placed in the sidewalk area of any street shall be located according to the recommendation of the Superintendent of Streets and to the satisfaction of the Council and the City Engineer. The Super-intendent of Streets and the City Engineer shall be consulted before any work is commenced with respect to the position of poles in reference to curbs, corners, and property lines.

§ 7-1.03 COMPLIANCE WITH CALIFORNIA RAILROAD COMMISSION REQUIREMENTS; ANCHORS.
   Anchors with their attached guy wires shall be equipped with guy guards as required by the State Railroad Commission.
