155.02 ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES.

   (a)   Responsibilities of City Forester. The City Forester shall be responsible for administering and implementing provisions of this chapter. Responsibilities shall include:

      (1)   Developing and updating the comprehensive Urban Forestry Management Plan in accordance with Section 155.04 of this chapter;    

      (2)   Implementing a monitoring program to evaluate whether goals of the Urban Forestry Management Plan are being met;    

      (3)   Directing municipal tree care operations, including planting, maintenance, and removal of trees;   

      (4)   Conducting community outreach and education programs to promote public understanding of the City's urban forest and public adherence to the standards and procedures established under this chapter.

      (5)   Acting as advisor to the Shade Tree and Beautification Committee;

   (6)   Preparing an annual report on the work and activities carried out under the provisions of this chapter; and   

      (7)   Perform any other responsibilities set forth in the City Forester's then-existing job description.
