546.05 RESPONSIBLE PARTY.

   In the case of an owner-occupied or unoccupied property, the owner is liable for all violations of this Code. In the case of an occupied rental property, where the property has not been registered in accordance with this Code, the owner is liable for all violations of this Code. In the case of an occupied rental property, where the property has been registered in accordance with this Code, the owner is not responsible for any violations created by the occupants, unless the owner has been placed on notice of the alleged violations and has failed to take adequate measures to ensure the violation is remedied.
