1744.18 EVACUATION PROCEDURES.
   (a)   Each group home shall have a written evaluation procedure including:
      (1)   A floor plan indicating the location of fire alarm signals fire extinguishers, evacuation routes and exits;
      (2)   A written plan for evacuating all persons in the facility with special procedures for evacuating residents with impaired mobility. The plan shall be approved by the State Fire Marshal, the Assistant Fire Marshal or any certified fire safety inspector;
   (b)   The floor plan and the written plan shall be posted on each floor of any group home.
   (c)   The administrator, residents, caregivers and persons in the group home shall be familiar with the evacuation procedures.
   (d)   Each group home shall keep written documentation of fire or evacuation drills, which shall be conducted at least quarterly at irregular intervals, on all shifts.
   (e)   A written plan for handling emergencies such as tornadoes, fire, flooding, and other conditions that would prohibit occupancy of the building shall be developed. Disaster drills, in which the plan is actually carried out, shall be conducted and documentation of the dates of such drills shall be provided. (Ord. 98-88. Passed 3-4-98.)
