547.99 PENALTY.
(a) Any person who fails to comply with a subpoena issued by the Human Relations Commission as provided in Section 547.14 may be found in civil contempt of this chapter.
(b) Any person who fails to comply with an order to cease and desist or to undertake affirmative action ordered by the Human Relations Commission after a public hearing or agreed to by such person pursuant to conciliation is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
(d) Any person who violates Section 547.05 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree on the first offense and a misdemeanor of the first degree on the second and all subsequent offenses.
To the extent that the complainant is the prevailing party, the respondent will be liable for reasonable attorney's fees unless special circumstances make the recovery of such fees and costs unjust. (Ord. 97-372. Passed 11-19-97.)
