§ 70.999 PENALTY.
   (A)   Any person violating any provision of this chapter for which no specific penalty is prescribed shall be subject to § 10.999 of this code of ordinances.
   (B)   (1)   A person who violates § 70.007(D), (F) or (H) of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of $100.
      (2)   A person who violates § 70.007(B), (C), (E) or (G) of this chapter is responsible for a civil infraction.

   (C)   Any person who violates any provision of § 70.009 of this chapter is responsible for a municipal civil infraction and a fine up to $500 and court costs.

   (D)    A person who violates § 70.010 of this chapter is responsible for a civil infraction and subject to a fine not to exceed $100.

   (E)   The penalties provided by the Michigan Vehicle Code, as adopted in § 70.025 of this chapter, are adopted by reference; provided, however, that, the city may not enforce any provision of the Michigan Vehicle Code for which the maximum period of imprisonment is greater than 93 days.

   (F)   Except as otherwise provided in § 70.043 of this chapter, a person who violates §§ 70.040 through 70.047 of this chapter is responsible for a civil infraction.
