GENERAL PROVISIONS
§ 50.001 DEFINITION.
   As used in this chapter, the term EMERGENCY SYSTEM shall mean the installation, operation and maintenance of circuits, systems and equipment intended to supply illumination and power in the event of failure of the normal supply or in the event of accident to elements of a system supplying power and illumination essential for safety to life and property, as herein required.

   (B)   If a permit is not obtained before the work is started, a late fee of $125 will be charged in addition to regular permit fee.

§ 50.003 PROTECTION OF PERMANENT ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT FROM DAMAGE BY OTHER WORK.
   Electrical contractors shall in no case install permanent electrical equipment that may be damaged by the roughing in of heating, ventilation and plumbing construction.

§ 50.004 ACCESSIBILITY OF INSTALLATIONS.
   No installation of plumbing equipment, refrigeration equipment, space heating equipment, duct work, cabinets, partitions or materials shall be made in such a way as to render the wiring in any electrical service equipment, distribution panel, outlet, splice, junction or pull box inaccessible.
