A. License Required: It shall be unlawful for any resident of the Village to own a motor vehicle or for any person to use a motor vehicle owned by a resident of the Village, in the Village, unless the owner of such motor vehicle is licensed by the Village to use the same and said license or sticker is permanently affixed to the lower right side of the windshield of the motor vehicle.
B. Vehicle Stickers Required:
1. The following people are required to purchase vehicle stickers:
a. Owners of vehicles registered in the State with a business or residence address within the corporate limits of the Village.
b. Owners of vehicles whose driver's license indicates a Village address.
c. Owners of vehicles who reside in the Village for more than forty five (45) days.
d. Owners of vehicles whose vehicle is housed in the Village on a regular basis.
2. Only the aforementioned owners of vehicles are required to purchase a Village vehicle sticker.
3. Owners and operators of leased vehicles and company cars or trucks properly registered and licensed in other communities are exempt.
C. License Term: As of July 1, 2012, the license term shall be one year ending June 30 of the year following the year of issuance.
D. Lost Or Stolen Stickers: Lost or stolen stickers will not be replaced or transferred 1 . (Ord. 13-24, 12-3-2013)
