There is hereby created and established the Fire Department of the Village. The Fire Department shall consist of a full time Fire Chief, twelve (12) full time firefighter II/paramedics, part time paid firefighter/paramedics and such paid on call volunteer firefighters, emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and paramedics as may volunteer and qualify for service in the Fire Department. No rank shall exist within the Fire Department other than full time firefighter II/paramedics although additional compensated duties may be assigned to one Emergency Medical Services Coordinator, three (3) Shift Commanders, and one Director of the Fire Prevention Bureau 1 .
