A. Appointment; Term: There shall be a city solid waste superintendent, who shall be appointed by the city manager for an indefinite term and who shall be removable by the city manager.
B. Powers And Duties; Authority To Enter Premises: The city solid waste superintendent shall have all the powers, duties and functions as set forth within this chapter. The city solid waste superintendent is hereby vested with full authority to enter upon any premises in the discharge of his duties.
C. Interference Prohibited: No person shall interfere with the city solid waste superintendent in the discharge of his duties.
D. Decision Final; Appeal: The city solid waste superintendent shall have the authority to pass upon and decide any question which may arise under this chapter, and his decision in such cases shall be final unless reversed by the city commission upon written appeal filed by an aggrieved party within thirty (30) days of such decision.
E. Authorized Representative:
1. When any act is required to be done by the city solid waste superintendent, the same may be done by his authorized representative, officer or employee of the solid waste department.
2. Whenever any law or ordinance refers to the city solid waste superintendent, it shall be deemed to mean the city solid waste superintendent or his authorized representative as set forth in this subsection. (2001 Code § 50.01; amd. 2012 Code)
