136.01: DEFINITIONS:
For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning:
MINOR: Any person under the age of eighteen (18).
PARENT: Any person having legal custody of a minor as a natural or adoptive parent; as a legal guardian; as a person who stands in loco parentis; or as a person to whom legal custody has been given by order of a court.
PUBLIC PLACE: Any street, alley, highway, sidewalk, park, playground or place to which the general public has access and a right to resort for business, entertainment or other lawful purpose. Public place shall include, but not be limited to, any store, shop, restaurant, tavern, bowling alley, cafe, theater, drugstore, pool hall, shopping center and any other place devoted to amusement or entertainment of the general public. It shall also include the front or immediate area of the above.
REMAIN: To linger or stay; or to fail to leave any premises when requested to do so by a police officer or the owner, operator, occupant or other person in control of the premises. (2001 Code § 136.01)
