The municipal court shall assess court costs in all matters in which an offender is found guilty or pleads guilty or no contest to the offense. Such costs shall be set at the maximum amount allowed by the state legislature. All amounts collected as court costs shall be paid into the general fund of the city. (2001 Code § 35.07)
