A. Violation of this chapter shall constitute an offense and shall be punished, upon conviction, by a fine of not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) per occurrence, plus court costs.
B. In addition to the penalties provided for in this section, the chief of police is authorized to take appropriate legal action to require the disconnection of any alarm system operated in violation of this chapter, including, but not limited to, disconnection of the alarm system through injunctive relief in the district court.
