A. The fire chief may cause dilapidated structures or buildings to be torn down and structures or buildings to be boarded and secured according to the provisions of this subchapter.
B. Upon receipt of information, complaint or visual inspection, the fire chief may determine whether property within the city contains a structure or building which is detrimental to the health, safety and welfare of the public, and whether the structure or building should be removed or boarded and secured.
