Any animal may be adopted from the city pound or a permitted animal shelter after seventy two (72) hours. An adoption fee of ten dollars ($10.00) shall be assessed at the time of the adoption. Vaccination fees, licensing and veterinary costs for sterilization shall be assessed above and beyond the adoption fee. A refundable ten dollar ($10.00) sterilization fee will be assessed for unaltered animals. Proof of sterilization will be required for refund of the sterilization fee.
