90.37: DESTRUCTION OF RABID ANIMALS:
An animal determined to be rabid shall be immediately destroyed. If an animal which has bitten a person cannot be captured, the animal may be immediately destroyed so that a laboratory confirmation may be made. An animal bitten by a rabid animal shall be either destroyed immediately or impounded at the cost to the owner of two dollars ($2.00) per day for a period of at least six (6) months, at the option of the owner of the bitten animal.
