90.16: CRUELTY TO ANIMALS:
   A.   All animals kept within the city limits shall be cared for in a humane manner and in such a manner as to not create a nuisance.
   B.   No person shall intentionally, wilfully or maliciously beat, injure, maim or mutilate any animal, whether belonging to himself or another, or fail to provide an animal with necessary food, drink and shelter.
   C.   Any animal control officer or police officer finding an animal so maltreated or abused shall cause the same to be impounded. The animal shall be held until authorization to release the animal is received by the municipal court. (2001 Code § 90.16)
