Every vehicle operated upon the streets of the city shall be equipped as required by law, and it shall be unlawful to operate a vehicle which is not equipped as required by law, upon a street of the city. It shall also be unlawful to fail to use such equipment in the manner required by law, or to use it in a manner prohibited by law. It shall also be unlawful to operate a vehicle which has equipment prohibited by law upon a street of the city. (2001 Code § 72.03)
