§ 1440.01 QUALIFICATIONS OF DEPARTMENT HEAD. (REPEALED)

   Section 1440.01 was repealed by implication by the adoption by the voters, on November 3, 1992, of the Village Charter, which authorized the Manager to provide for a Building Commissioner/Inspector after approval of Council.
§ 1440.02 ENFORCEMENT OF BUILDING AND HOUSING CODE.
   (a)   The Building Commissioner/Inspector shall enforce all ordinances and resolutions of the Village which relate to construction, arrangement, erection and repair of buildings, structures and parts thereof.
   (b)   The Manager may cause the Building Commissioner/Inspector to enforce any ordinance or resolution of the Village relating to the use, occupancy, construction or demolition of buildings, structures and parts thereof.
   (c)   The Building Commissioner/Inspector shall determine all questions arising under this Building and Housing Code. All appeals from decisions of the Building Commissioner/Inspector shall be taken to the Board of Building Appeals. The Building Commissioner/Inspector is authorized, however, to act on his or her own best judgment, without waiting for the determination of an appeal, where immediate action is required, as in the case of insecure or unsafe buildings.
