All dwelling units shall contain a minimum gross square footage of living area defined as the dimensions measured from interior wall to interior wall (exclusive of garages, carports, storage rooms, and the like) for each type as follows:
(A) Single-family detached dwelling unit: 1,000 square feet; and
(B) Single-family dwelling unit (apartments, townhouses, and the like): 650 square feet.
