304.04 STORAGE OF JUNK VEHICLES PROHIBITED.
   (a)    No person, being the owner or occupant of any premises not zoned for a junk or automobile salvage yard, shall leave a motor vehicle, defined herein as "junk motor vehicle" parked or permit it to remain standing thereon for a period in excess of one week when such motor vehicle is not in an operating condition or if such vehicle has no market value except for salvage or junk purposes and does not bear a current registration plate.
   (b)    Nothing herein provided shall prohibit the storage of an antique, collector's item or historical motor vehicle, subject to the restrictions set forth in Section 351.13(a)(4); the parking of an inoperable or unlicensed motor vehicle in a private garage upon a premises; the use of the premises for sale of new and/or used motor vehicles where such premises are zoned for such use or uses.
   (c)    For the purposes of this section and Section 304.05, current registration means registration of a specific motor vehicle by serial number, make and model and the assignment of a distinctive number to that motor vehicle by the registrar of motor vehicles. It shall not include a motor vehicle to which dealer's tags are affixed.
   (d)    Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. (Ord. 78-87. Passed 11-3-87.)
