SECTION 86. CHARTER REVIEW.

   In January 1998 and each five years thereafter, the Council shall appoint, as members of a Charter Review Commission, five electors of the City holding no other office, appointment or employment in the government of the City, except on advisory bodies of the City. Such Commission shall review the Charter and within six calendar months after their appointment or within such further time as Council may designate, recommend to the Council such alterations, revisions, and amendments, if any, to this Charter, as in the judgment of the Commission are desirable. The Council may, in accordance with Article XVIII, Section 9, of the Ohio Constitution, submit any such proposed alterations, revisions or amendments reported and recommended by the Charter Review Commission to the electors of the City.
