529.17 IDENTIFICATION FOR REGISTRATION.

(a) All persons registering for accommodations at any hotel, motel, boarding house or other public lodging house in the City, shall present at least one article or item of positive identification to the person or employee maintaining the register required by Section 529.16. Such identification shall consist of a driver's license, or a state-issued identification card with photo.

(b) Any guest who registers without producing such identification, or any employee who permits any person to register without producing such identification shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
