§ 154.010 UTILITY COMPANIES; AUTHORITY TO REMOVE OBSTRUCTIONS; INTERFERENCE WITH POWER LINES.
   (A)   Any officer, employee, or agent of any public utility company engaged in the transmission or distribution of electric current whose wires, lines, or other conduits come, or are liable to come, in contact with any tree, structure, projection, or obstruction extending on or over any street, sidewalk, or other public place of the city shall have and is hereby given full authority and permission to cut away or remove such tree, structure, projection, or obstruction in such manner that there may be no danger of any outage from such electric wires, lines, or other conduits onto such tree, structure, projection, or obstruction.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for any person to molest or interfere with, in any way, any other person engaged in the cutting away or removing of any tree, structure, projection, or obstruction under authority of this section.
