(A) There is hereby created a commission to be known and designated as the “Weston City Tree Commission”, composed of seven residents and voters of the city who shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Common Council.
(B) (1) The seven members appointed shall be as follows: three for three years and three for two years and one for one year, and shall serve until their successors are duly appointed and approved by the Common Council.
(2) After the initial appointment or term, successors shall be appointed for three years. Vacancies caused by death, resignation, or otherwise shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as original appointments are made.
