656.08 ASSAULT; ASSAULT AND BATTERY.

(a) Assault. No person shall offer to perform or willfully or intentionally perform an act that places another person in reasonable fear or apprehension of an imminent battery.

(b) Assault and Battery. No person shall wilfully or intentionally perform an act that places another person in reasonable fear or apprehension of an imminent battery or thereby willfully or intentionally touch another person in a harmful or offensive manner.
